Killing the Jello

fin. Puolitettiin Syssen kanssa päppis kaffelusikalla. Ahmaistuamme sen, menimme penkomaan muotilehtiä Stockaalle. Lennosta allekirjoitimme vetoomuksen turkistarhausta vastaan, ja ihmettelimme, miksi joskus lakkasimme olemasta vegejä.
   Selailin valikoimaa 1/2 h. Kävin läpi ainakin Pariisin Voguen, Bazaarit, italialaisen Voglien sekä kestosuosikkini, brittien ja ruotsalaisten ELLEt. Omaksi yllätyksekseni Suomen junnu houkutteli eniten.
   Viime aikoina valitsemieni lehtien kansissa on keimaillut näyttelijättäriä, joita kohtaan tunnen ärsyttävää kateutta. Keira Knightley - sen ilme, kun se törröttää niitä huulia, vaikkei tarvitsisi, kun ne on valmiiksi jo niin uhkeat. Scarlett Johansson - sähäkkä kuin puudeli, jotenkin suurikokoinen mutta silti viattoman tyttömäinen. (Sitä paitsi sillä on aina niitä rooleja, kun se vie toisten miehet.) Diane Kruger - suora nenä ja sileä iho. (Onneksi se on jo 3-kymppinen).

   Kas näin kun asian aukaisee, muuttuu kateuden merkitys ihan erilaiseksi. Jokaisella tunteella on tehtävä, myös negatiivisella. En usko, että minun on tarkoitus vihata näitä kauniita näyttelijöitä. He ovat varmasti todella mukavia ja ansainneet kuuluisuutensa kovalla työllä. Lisäksi, maailman muotilehtien kermaan kuuluvissa kansissa saattaa olla hieman photoshopin prototyypeissä käyneitä kuvia.
   Suosittelen kokeilemaan itse. Seuraavan kerran kun huomaat ajattelevasi kateuden aiheuttamia ilkeitä asioita jostakin ihmisestä, lopeta ja tapa kateus. Hänellä voi olla jotain, mitä sinä voisit mielummin ihailla ja tavoitella kuin kadehtia. Kiitä häntä siitä ja vaivu zeniin.

   I went through the selection for 30 minutes; at least Vogue Paris, the Bazaars, the italian Voglie and my lasting favorites, the brittish and the swedish ELLEs. To my surprize Finlands own junior was the one that attracted the most.
   Lately on the covers, of the mags I´ve picced, has been actresses that I of some reason find irritating. Keira Knightley - her grimash when she keeps her lips out, even when she really doesn´t have to cause they are guite thick already. Scarlett Johansson - sexy as a poodle, somehow biggish but still inisently girly. (In addition, she always seems to have those roles, where she takes taken men.) Diane Kruger - strait nose and smooth skin. (Thank God she´s in her 3´s.)

   When you open the problem, the meaning of jealousy changes. Every feeling we have, has a job, even the negative ones. I don´t believe I´m supposed to hate these beautiful actresses. I bet they´re all very nice and have earned their famousy with hard work. In addition, the photos shining on the covers of the mags that belong to the cream of the fashion world, are hardly untouched. 
   I recommend you try it yourself. The next time you get yourself caught thinking mean thoughts about another person, stop and kill the jealousy. She may have something, that you may admire, or even better, reach for, instead of beeing Jello. Thank her for beeing gordeous and zoom into zen.
